Ever the good sport, Los Angeles Lakers center Dwight Howard mixed it up with some of his Twitter followers Wednesday night, hosting his own roast while rewarding the best digs with follows.
It isn't clear why Howard invited his more than 3.4 million followers to rip into him, though given his laid-back nature on and off the basketball court he doesn't seem like the type to be bothered by some good-natured ribbing.
Howard, who was traded to the Lakers by the Orlando Magic earlier this offseason, didn't seem overly impressed by most of the barbs thrown his way - offering half-hearted responses like "womp womp" or "get some better jokes my g." He even fired back himself, insulting one poster's facial hair ("y yo eyebrows so thick") and referring to another as a "fat faced (Kwame Brown) mixed with Jermaine (O'Neal) lookin' boy."
But at least one Twitter foe caught Howard's attention in a good way:
@Jeremy_Skye: remember when you got a clock violation at the free-throw line…
Howard seemed tickled at the reference to his deliberate (and terrible) foul shooting, giving the poster a reply ("now that is funny") and, as promised, a follow. Howard, meanwhile, ended the night hoping to continue the roast Thursday.
