Aleks Josh has released his first music video since bowing out of the first series of the BBC’s new singing talent show earlier this year.
Aleks Josh competed in
The Voice UK earlier this year but, despite garnering a large fan base, was voted off the series during the fourth live show.
Since then the 17-year-old lad from Stevenage has been busy with a number of music projects, including playing support to British–Irish boy band The Wanted and the 2009
X Factor runner-up, Olly Murs.
‘Cruise’ is to be the lead single on Josh’s upcoming EP, which will be available tp download on iTunes on 24 September.
Speaking to
Unreality TV ahead of the release, Josh says he was happy with appearing on talent show,
and added, “I just wanted to sing. That’s all I want to do [not] to become a celebrity.”
Josh’s coach on
The Voice UK was the Script’s Danny O’Donoghue. Both he and fellow show coach will.i.am
praised the teenager’s voice, believing he had what it took to become a star.
Josh’s Twitter following, which snowballed during his TV appearances, currently stands well in excess of 73,000.
