A Peruvian woman is the latest to do a 'Bobbitt', slicing off her lover's penis as he slept. To add insult to injury the jealous woman then flushed the penis down the toilet.
Huaman Julia Muñoz, 46, was so incensed when she learnt 46-year-old Ramon Arias Apayco had cheated on her, that she resorted to drastic action.
Elite Daily reported Muñoz allegedly used a kitchen knife to slice off Apayco's penis, before flushing it away.
Muñoz attempted to flee the hostel in Peru where the pair were staying, but was detained by hostel staff who called police.
The New Age reported Muñoz confessed to police that she acted out of anger after discovering Apayco's infidelity. Apayco meanwhile is in intensive care.
John Wayne Bobbitt became an international name after his wife sliced off half his penis in 1993. Surgeons successfully reattached his severed organ and Bobbitt went on to star in adult films.
