Hobbs - If there is one place that nobody wants to be, it's in jail. But for one inmate, he chose to return on his own after escaping.
As reported by KJRH News, an inmate, Carlos Garcia, over a five month period used only a popsicle stick and a razor blade to cut bars from his cell window from where he later escaped. Once outside however, the inmate changed his mind and used a bed-sheet to climb back into the second-story cell. The jail in Lea County, is located on the New Mexico-Texas state border. The detention center has since moved Garcia to a maximum-security ward at the state prison located in Santa Fe, where an investigation is under way.
