The writer has personally stayed at Constantia Vista twice as a guest, and even did a stint at managing the property in the owner's absence some years ago. The comfort was amazing and everything was there, right at her fingertips.
Staff are friendly and helpful and ensure that your suite is impeccably clean and tidy for you when you arrive. Your host, and owner of Constantia Vista, Ian Assin, is friendly, down to earth and always happy to assist you with any directions, tours, etc.
A luxury retreat, nestling high on the hillside in a beautiful setting, with six fully self-contained, free-standing and self-catering suites, all looking out across the magnificent Constantia Valley all the way to False Bay and beyond. So much to choose from, anything from a studio apartment to a luxury two bedroomed villa, depending on your needs.
Guests can feel luxuriously at home with all the amenities they could possibly desire, and yet the price is kept at a constant, affordable level. At R550 (US $65) per person in the summer season and R450 (US $53) per person in winter, the price is within most people's reach.
Its a great place to be whatever the season. In summer, air-conditioning and two swimming pools keep the temperatures down, and in winter, electric blankets and fire places make things warm and cozy.
All the necessary amenities are at your disposal in each unit including fully equipped kitchens and bathrooms, ADSL Internet and Pay as You Go cell phones.
Enjoy a glass of excellent South African wine while enjoying your barbeque in the African sun, or in the evening, gazing at the lights in the valley below.
The views from all parts of the property are beautiful, with forested hills stretching away forever, and the sea always present in the distance. The property itself has a natural garden, with khoi ponds and thatched entertainment areas dotted around, including barbeques and bars.
The main swimming pool is solar-heated in winter, one of the apartments has its own private splash pool and everyone can enjoy a "jacuzzi with a view" in the public area.
