Cleveland - An Ohio man mistakenly left his ID card behind at a local gas station after he used a broken bottle to rob the clerk. The suspect is still at large.
Fox 19 reports that Rodney Peterson allegedly robbed the BP gas station located at Mayfield and Warrensville. The incident took place August 18 at 9 p.m.
According to Fox 8, Peterson allegedly threatened the clerk with a broken bottle and was able to make off with an undisclosed amount of cash from the register.
UPI states Peterson inadvertently left his ID on the counter while he was inside the store.
Police have yet to locate Peterson but are asking anyone who knows his whereabouts to contact Cleveland Heights police at 216-321-1234.
Surprisingly, this is not the first time that a robbery suspect has left their ID at the scene of a crime. Valley Morning Star reports that a man in Brownsville, TX left behind his ID at a Wells Fargo bank branch after he attempted to rob the teller.
