Houston - She's being dubbed "gangster granny" after the 73-year old took on a would-be burglar trying to break-in to her daughter's home. She scared him off with a pair of scissors an a BBQ fork.
The Fox News affiliate in Houston reports Margaret Jackson was sitting down at her daughter's Houston home when the family's yorkie started barking and running back and forth to the back door. She says she looked out a side window and saw a man trying to get inside by using a credit card.
Jackson says she ran into the kitchen to look for a weapon but could only come up with the scissors and big BBQ fork. She tells Fox News, "I said this is a weapon. This is sturdy," and she went after him.
"I pushed the door on him and then he pushed it back on me and he took off running and I got him in the back of the neck with this, just bam."
The burglar took off running and hopped over the fence.
Police searched the area but didn't find the man. Jackson says the officers thought it was the funniest thing they had seen in a long time.
When Fox asked her if she was scared he would return, she answered, "No, he won't. He's probably telling all his friends not to come here because there's a dangerous old lady there!"
