You could have predicted this, no? Justin Bieber will appear on 'The Simpsons' in what's been described as a cameo role in an episode called 'The Fabulous Faker Boy'. The Canadian pop star tweeted about it Tuesday, though the tweet was soon deleted.
Here's his tweet: "just did a voice over for the SIMPSONS!!! #swaggy." Many of his 25 million twitter followers saw the tweet and so did Entertainment Weekly, who made some calls.
They got the news confirmed by the show Tuesday and an executive producer of The Simpsons, Al Jean, even gave away some of the plot. "He tries to get into a talent show that Bart is playing piano in and they won't admit him," Jean told the magazine. "Draw your own conclusions." Jean added that the part was only a "cameo."
Bieber, whose latest hit single off of his recently released album 'Believe' is As Long as You Love Me, is busy rehearsing for his upcoming world tour that begins in North America at the end of September. His musical director and guitar player, Dan Kanter, sent out a tweet about the rehearsals Monday and Bieber re-tweeted it: "Awesome rehearsal! So many great songs and they are all sounding amazing! How are we going to narrow it down for the setlist?! :)"
The Simpsons episode featuring Bieber will air on an undisclosed date in 2013.
