Over 50 descendants of Nazi SS and Wehrmacht officers will attend a 'reconciliation march' of over 400 people including Holocaust survivors across Poland, visiting Nazi extermination camps on their way.

Ynet report that the group started their march at the largest Nazi extermination and concentration camp, Auschwitz-Birchenau. On Monday, 20 August, over 270 international participants from Germany, the US, and Israel joined together with Polish participants and began their walk of 1300 miles across Poland.

Over 50 members of the German delegation are descendants of members of Wehrmacht, police, or SS, who were directly involved in the Nazi annihilation plan and the Holocaust in Poland. Memorial Ceremonies will take place at
Auschwitz,
Kielce and
Treblinka.
On August 23, a Keynote Ceremony will be held in Warsaw in the presence of representatives from Poland and Israel. The Deputy Speaker of the Knesset, MK Lia Shemtov will be representing Israel.
The March of Life in Poland was initiated by
