An interview with Justin Bieber in Vibe magazine has been picked up online and Friday the part of his talk getting the most attention was the Biebs waxing on the danger of fame. But how about the 18-year-old's thoughts on getting old and having to shave?
“I hate shaving. It’s really going to suck when I have to start shaving every day," Bieber admitted. “My mom looks pretty young and my dad does, too, so hopefully I will, too."
Justin Bieber on Being Famous
The manner in which Bieber conducts himself, his maturity, suggests that he welcomes getting older, but given those comments it's obviously not something he welcomes wholeheartedly. And while we're at it here we'll note that, yeah, he doesn't embrace fame wholeheartedly, either.
"What does that really mean: 'to be famous?'" he asked Vibe. "In general, fame can tear you apart, so you can never really feel like you're famous. When people start acting like they're famous, that's when they start losing it."
Forever wary of "losing it" one thing Bieber does to avoid that is keep working and he might well be the busiest 18-year-old on the planet. At the moment he's doing promotional work, which includes jaunts to other countries and TV interviews, and rehearsing for his new 'Believe' tour which begins in Europe next month.
