Op-Ed: Akbar hated Romney, launched website to stop him last year

By Bill Schmalfeldt     Aug 16, 2012 in Politics
One thing you can always count on from a Conservative -- and that's being consistent. If they hate you today, they will hate you tomorrow, next month, next year and forever. Until they don't anymore.
Such is the case of right wing, Tea party darling and GOP operative Ali Abdul Razaq Akbar. We shared several stories about him yesterday concerning his baffling, inexplicable and meteoric rise from being a convicted felon to becoming the brightest star in the young Republican establishment, all without benefit of a college education, any visible means of support or anything to work with other than his good looks and charm and "very close friendship" with Karl Rove -- who is well known inside the beltway for his enjoyment of young lads with good looks and charm and political skills that can be used to his benefit, among other things.
Well, through 2010 and 2011, Akbar was working his young hiney off for Tea party candidates. He supported Newt Gingrich.
He supported Tim Pawlenty.
But the one guy he could not, WOULD not support...
That pretend conservative, the notorious flip flopper, the RINO (Republican in Name Only)...
Willard Mitt Romney.
A November 6, 2011 blurb in the New York Post told the story.
A movement is bubbling in DC among conservative operatives and talking heads who don’t think Mitt Romney has what it takes to beat President Obama. Freedom Works’ Tabitha Hale, blogger Bruce Carroll, Townhall’s John Hawkins, Tea Party activist Tiffiny Ruegner and GOP political consultants Matt Mackowiak and Ali Akbar are launching today as a grass-roots effort to oppose his nomination.
Grrrr! No way was Ali Akbar going to just SIT there on his smooth, Republican rear end and allow this flip flopper to get the nomination.
They even threw together a 30-sec ad to demand conservative voters nominate ANYONE but Mitt Romney.
We'd give you the URL's to these websites. But there's a problem. When you click them now, they take you directly to Mitt Romney's campaign page.
WHAT? WHAT? Did the nefarious Romney somehow hack into Ali's Vice and Victory agency and do some sort of evil redirect so that people righteously angry about Romney's assured ascendency to the GOP nomination would no longer have a place to vent.
You see, Conservatives are good at something else, too.
When they are told to, they get in line and support who they are told to. All that other stuff you read? Fuhgeddabouddit. They're kind of like Mormons that way. After over 100 years of being told that Black people could not be priests in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, after proclamations by none other than Brigham Young, the successor to the church's founder Joseph Smith, Jr., included in sermons such as:
“..Shall I tell you the law of God in regard to the African race? If the white man who belongs to the chosen seed mixes his blood with the seed of Cain, the penalty, under the law of God, is death on the spot. This will always be so.” – JoD: vol.10 p. 110: (March 8, 1863)
After the Quorum of the Twelve had a sudden "revelation" directly from God himself, they decided that God was telling them Black people were OK now, and Mormons should just disregard all the previous teachings of the church in that regard, according to Apostle Bruce R. McConkle.
Forget everything that I have said, or what President Brigham Young or President George Q. Cannon or whomsoever has said in days past that is contrary to the present revelation. We spoke with a limited understanding and without the light and knowledge that now has come into the world.... We get our truth and our light line upon line and precept upon precept. We have now had added a new flood of intelligence and light on this particular subject, and it erases all the darkness and all the views and all the thoughts of the past. They don’t matter any more.... It doesn’t make a particle of difference what anybody ever said about the Negro matter before the first day of June of this year.
So, apparently, the people who could not stand the idea of Romney as their nominee had a similar revelation.
As for Akbar, he's full speed ahead on Romney now!
Never mind what he said before.
Just check his Twitter postings (which we are actually blocked from but can still read through nefarious means).

Romney on FRC shooting: 62 words, 4 hours ago. Obama via Carney/press pool report via @TPM: 10 words, just now.
Biden asserted that the President of the United States would be in #Chains if he lost to Governor Romney. Entirely racist comment.

@Sammy4Liberty Has he endorsed Romney? Has he told people to vote for the Republican ticket?
Yes sir! Ali Akbar LOVES him some Romney NOW! We're just wondering if his felony conviction in 2007 will allow him to vote. He was released from probation in May 2012.
Does this also mean the debit fraud convict vote is in Romney's pocket?
