The Duchess of Cambridge's second cousin (once removed) is getting a six-figure sum to strip for Playboy. Burlesque dancer, Katrina Darling, hit the jackpot when she discovered her connection to royalty.
The
Daily Mail is reporting that the 22-year old discovered, just before last year's Royal Wedding, that her grandmother is the sister to the Duchess's great-grandfather Thomas Harrison. She's never met her cousin but it has given a boost to her career.
The
Daily Mail says she was working in wealth management at Barclays Bank during the day and a Burlesque stripper at night. She says her co-workers didn't seem to mind her hobby, "Everybody is really supportive. They think it's a bit of fun."
Earlier this year she decided to take her act to New York in search of fame and fortune. Now she appears on the cover of the September issue of Playboy with eight pages of photos inside, and has pocketed a nice six-figure paycheque.
The Sun reports that before her royal connection went public, she danced and stripped in clubs around Sunderland, in North East England. And the paper says to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee she choreographed a routine, entitled God Save The Queen. She wore a tight red corset, a Union Jack skirt and a small crown before stripping down to bright red tassels and a thong.
