The unexpected summer season extension up to early October surprised almost everybody in Vancouver area. At this time of the year, the temperature of some 25°C during a good series of days, with completely blue sky from morning to late evening and very few feather-like clouds was a nice surprise to many.
More surprising to others was that the Thanksgiving time was only an optional chance to spend a long weekend at home. Some people decided to sacrifice their traditional roasted turkey and family meeting at the table for yet another outdoor experience and went out to check the last summertime experience in the magnificent BC outdoors.
The series of shots are showing another penetration of Hope area, some 150 kms east of Vancouver, when recording a volatile time of changing seasons, with last hours of summer time. After the night time, the summer was almost gone and the fall time came.
The series of shots are from beyond "deactivated road" sign post, at undisclosed location in the region of Hope, BC, known only to "yours truly" who came back to the area for the second time over the period of half a year. This area was very much changed when it was first visited but the beauty of it has still been preserved since then. This time it was not only sprinkled a bit with upcoming colours of the fall time but also with some mysterious dots on maple leaves indicating the disease that BC forests have been suffering for long years.
