People go missing every day, leaving loved ones behind grieving. It's every mother's worst nightmare to have their child go missing and police work hard for their safe return.
Morgan Durocher was announced missing and Trail RCMP Detachment were seeking the public's help locating the 14-year-old girl. Durocher walked away from her foster carer's home in Warfield, near Trail, B.C. Durocher had previously run away before. Although police had no reason to fear, due to her age they had to search for her, reports SAANJ News.
On Thursday, August 9th, Morgan Durocher was found unharmed with her boyfriend in Enderby, B.C. Many young people run away every day and whilst some come to no harm, others never return home.
The Nelson mother was overjoyed after she received a call from RCMP in the North Okanagan to say that her daughter, Morgan Durocher, had been found. It was ten days ago that Morgan Durocher walked away from her foster carer in Warfield. A search began to find missing Morgan Durocher. Some people thought she might have arranged to meet up with her boyfriend.
It was only due to Facebook exchanges, that a woman informed the Durocher family she had picked up a girl that fit the description of Morgan and a male friend. She picked them up near Salmo and drove the pair to Castlegar, reports The Nelson Daily.
Societies like The Missing Children Society of Canada help raise awareness about missing people. Royal Canadian Mounted Police have listed Celine LAFARGUE, 39, Yvonne King, 40 and Andrew Butt, aged 23, as missing. Yet, there are many more.
