Unilever earns a place at the European's food top table

Unilever, the English-Dutch Consumer goods MNC, finally holds a rank among the top 10 list of Gartner supply chain results. This achievement is considered to be the best performance ever by the Unilever group.
Unilever, head-quartered at London, was first found in 1930 by Jurgens, Burgh and Lever. With operating segments in 6 continents, Unilever is still the world's largest ice-cream maker and also world's third largest organization under consumer goods category next to P&G and Nestle. Its main products include, foods, personal care items and cleansers. More than 400 brands are being owned by Unilever as per the current statistics.
Bernstein Research's analyst, Andrew Wood says, "Unilever is now significantly better managed and can deliver strong and consistent operating performance into the medium term,"
Few of the most popular selling brands of Unilever are VO5, Aviance, Axe, Dove, Lipton, Sunsilk, Knorr and so on. Unilever continues to be one among the successful companies of all times and the year 2012 records one more achievement by the firm. Ultimately, Unilever joined the top 10 list of Gartner supply chain outcomes in May,2012.
Unilever had taken the position of Danone, its french competitor. Its other competitors are Henkel, S.C.Johnson, Mars, ConAgra and Reckitt. It's a known fact that Unilever had achieved success over its global sales by way of unique and quality products and most of the sales cover up detergents, soaps, cleansers and shampoos.
"The more Unilever moves towards Nestle's reputation for reliability, the more we will like the stock. Danone looks too risky at the moment,It is the last piece of the jigsaw for Unilever," told one of the fund manager from London
Unilever's overall profit is estimated to get closer to Nestle, but it marked a slight dipping in 2011 which is a major concern among the investors and share holders who expect a steady flow of record. Anyway, Unilever's wide sales around the globe is a big advantage for the development of the company as the products reach out too fast.
Unilever has an environmental record of aiding around 1 billion people to improve their well-being and the Unilever foundation is providing dedicated services to ensure pure drinking water, quality food and nutrition by joining hands with UNICEF and WFP.
