Although it was uploaded in 2011, this video of two white guys dancing to Indian song Tunak Tunak Tun by Daler Mehndi is just now going viral. Having received over 500K hits already, perhaps it's time to put aside the myth that white guys can't dance?
Maybe.
While the dancing is more like Bollywood mixed with the Māori Haka, mixed with the chicken dance, it's nevertheless entertaining, once you get past the first 20 seconds.
gmbgagz, who uploaded the video at YouTube, calls it "absolutely legendary."
And it's certainly received its fair share of comments ranging from how cute the guy on the right is, to how impressive the handstand performed on the kitchen counter was. One observer, HyperandHappy, even commented, "Indian Dad approves, you may now marry his daughter."
As people query what the two fellas may have been smoking, and whether they would share, Navmeetjassal quips that he found it funny, "Because they dance better than me ... and I'm Punjabi."
So can they dance? We'll let you decide, but the Academy Award definitely goes to the person holding the video camera, for keeping a straight face.
