An Arizona couple charged with felony attempted bestiality for trying to arrange a group sex session in which the woman would have had sex with a golden shepherd dog will avoid jail time.
Shane Walker and his wife Sarah Dae Walker, San Tan Valley swingers, pleaded guilty in June to conspiracy to commit bestiality. Sarah was sentenced Thursday to two years of supervised probation, while Shane received 18 months of supervised probation.
The couple has also been ordered to stay away from animals.
The Walkers made headlines in February after they and friend Robert Aucker were busted using online classified site Craigslist to find a male golden shepherd for Sarah to have sex with while the two men watched. In Arizona, bestiality is a Class 6 felony.
Aucker told detectives that he'd been in a sexual relationship with Sarah for months and that she fantasized about having sex with dogs.
After locating a dog on Craigslist, the trio drove to a prearranged Phoenix location with bestiality on their minds. They 'screwed the pooch' in an entirely different and unintended way when they found an undercover detective waiting there to arrest them.
"People who do this for enjoyment are a different breed, that's for certain," Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, known as 'America's Toughest Sheriff' for his zero-tolerance policies and zealous pursuit of undocumented immigrants, told the Arizona Republic.
