A naked middle-aged man wandering around downtown Rock Island, Illinois covered in Crisco cooking spray was arrested on Monday.
Chad William Forber, 41, of Blue Grass, was nabbed by Rock Island police around 3:30 a.m. Monday on Third Avenue.
Forber was naked and carrying a pair of shorts. He told officers he'd removed them because they were too big for him. According to QCOnline.com, Forber was only arrested after ignoring repeated police orders to put his shorts back on.
"He said he had been dropped off somewhere on 11th Street and he had walked to the area where he was apprehended," Rock Island Deputy Police Chief Jeff VenHuizen told the Quad City Times. "He had lathered himself up in Crisco. He was covered in grease, and was holding the can under his arm."
"He said he was looking for a place to party," VenHuizen added.
A search of Forber's shorts turned up some methamphetamine. He was subsequently charged with a class 3 felony, meaning he could end up behind bars for as many as five years. He was also charged with resisting a peace officer and possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanors that could add a year apiece to his sentence.
A charge of lewd exposure was dropped. Forber is being held in the Rock Island County Jail on $40,000 bond.
