London - British tennis player Andy Murray was so proud of his Olympic gold and silver medals, he draped them around his dogs' necks, and snapped a photo of them for Twitter.
Andy Murray and his girlfriend have two much loved pets, Maggie May and Rusty.
Murray's girlfriend, Kim Sears, opened a special Twitter account in the name of their border terrier, Maggie May - @maggiemay_hem.
Shortly after Murray beat Roger Federer in straight sets, the dogs featured on Twitter, proudly wearing their master's awards. Maggie May and Rusty display the gold and silver medals and are becoming famous online.
A comment alongside the photo says “Here we go folks… Just checking to make sure Rusty definitely has the silver, obviously.”
Murray won Maggie May's Olympic gold in the men's singles against Roger Federer. This was a major achievement as, four weeks earlier, he lost the Wimbledon final to Federer, on the same court.
Rusty's proudly displayed silver medal was won in the mixed doubles with Laura Robson.
