Time Warner has confirmed that it has bought Bleacher Report, an American digital sports media network, and the division will be part of the Turner Sports division.
According to TechCrunch, the price of the deal has not been announced but it is believed to be around $200 million.
According to Wall Street Journal, Bleacher Report publishes sports editorial content from contributors who are both paid and unpaid.
In June alone Bleacher Report receive more than 10 million visitors, which means that the site is among the top 10 sports sites.
David Levy, the president of sales, sports and distribution at Turner, said that the deal will now allow Turner to incorporate sports clips and other content the company owns into Bleacher Report's site.
According to Bloomberg, the two companies have been talking about merging together for over six months now.
The founders of Bleacher Report, which include Dave Finocchio, Bryan Goldberg and Dave Nemetz, will continue to work at Bleacher Report,
