The 'church' is known for their hate against any religion or behaviour that goes against theirs. They became famous for protesting military funerals and funerals of famous people. The group has been allowed by a recent Supreme Court ruling to be able to protest outside of military funerals. They are planning on protesting in Palm Bay, Florida later this week

The temple was opened on October 1, 1997 with less than 25 families in a rental building. They moved to their current location on South Howell Avenue in 2007.
