article imageMan texts, 'I need to quit texting,' before driving into ravine

By Owen Weldon     Aug 4, 2012 in Odd News
About six months ago Chance Bothe sent a text message to a friend saying that he needs to quit texting because he could die in a car accident, and shortly after that he veered off the road right into a ravine.
The incident occurred while Bothe, 21, was driving down a Texas road that he was familiar with. Bothe sent a friend a simple message that said "b right there" but while sending it he veered off the road and went right into a ravine, according to Digital Life.
According to Ksee24, Bothe was arguing with a friend via text messaging. In one of the last messages he sent he wrote "I need to quit texting because I could die in a car accident, and then how would you feel?"
According to Cnet, Bothe suffered serious injuries which included a broken neck, brain trauma, a fractured skull and a crushed face.
Bothe spoke about the incident recently and after he talked about the incident he offered people some advice. He said that people should not text and drive because it is not worth your life.
