Rosie MacLennan defeated 2008 Olympic gold medalist He Wenna of China in the sport of trampoline. MacLennan soared in the air by leaps and bounds. Rosie MacLennan is a King City, Ontario native.
MacLennan discovered the sport of trampoline at the young age of 11. Her training ground was a place called Skyriders Trampoline School. She showcased real potential in the air. She stood out from her peers because while her peers were dreaming of becoming astronauts, she dreamed of one day becoming an Olympian.
Now that she has become a Canadian Olympian, the colour of her "potential" is gold. and that is one event the entire nation of Canada can take pride in as they celebrate her golden performance today.
