The EDL will hold a Regional Demo in Keighley, West Yorkshire; 12 miles from Bradford, on Saturday, 4 August, to highlight politically correct inaction against child sex grooming gangs.
The British Freedom Party, the political wing of the EDL state on their
website that “Muslim grooming gangs have been allowed to roam the streets of Yorkshire unchecked, preying on young and vulnerable girls.”
Casuals United, a group linked to the EDL, gave a ‘pat on the back’ to the EDL on their
website, in an article entitled ‘Threat of EDL demo in Keighley opens up debate about grooming in the town’.
This was in reference to the timing of a letter, which is signed by more than two-dozen of the town’s most influential people, condemning the ‘vile crimes’ of grooming children for sex.
The Telegraph & Argus
reports that the signatories include MP Kris Hopkins, district and town councillors and leading figures from the clergy, mosques and local organisations.
The Yorkshire EDL, who have set up a Facebook
event page, state that the demonstrators will meet at The Commercial pub at 12pm. At 2pm they will head to Church Green where the demo will take place and speeches will be heard.
