Whether people like it or not users of Facebook will have their profiles changed over to the new Timeline before the year is over.
Facebook's new Timeline design has already been around for almost a year but not everybody is still aware of the new design. However they will soon be aware because Facebook announced that by the end of the year every single user's profile will be switched to Timeline.
According to Gizmodo, users who have not switched to Timeline will see a message soon that will tell them they will be switching soon and to be prepared for the switchover. This will give users the chance to hide photo albums and to add "life events" as well as make other edits.
According to Los Angeles Times, Facebook said that they want to make sure that all of their users have a consistent experience and that is why they are rolling out Timeline to all profiles soon.
According to TechCrunch, Timeline provides people a way to hide specific pieces of content.
Timeline also allows users to arrange content to best represent their personality and attitude.
