London - It has not been confirmed or officially announced yet but One Direction may perform at the closing ceremony at the London Olympics.
Sources say that even though it has not officially been announced yet the band One Direction will take the stage at the closing ceremony at the Olympics, according to MTV. It is also being reported that singer Ed Sheeran will also take the stage at the closing ceremony on August 12.
According to Mirror, other acts that are expected to perform at the ceremony include the Spice Girls, The Who, Queen and take That.
According to Cambio, one of the reasons why One Direction is rumored to be playing is because Ed Sheeran teased a little bit saying that there were rumors going around that he was going to play at the ceremony, and that if the rumors are true, then he could very well be playing with a huge rock band and he could end up playing one of the band's most famous songs.
Sheeran continued to tease and said that if that were too happen, then that would be a huge moment for him, but only it he will be doing the gig.
