The parents of Olympic U.S. gymnast Aly Raisman found unlikely online notoriety after footage surfaced of their reaction to Aly's competition yesterday.
Ricky and Lynn Raisman were filmed watching their daughter compete on the uneven bars. A nearby mic also picked up how they reacted to her routine.
They looked agitated as they ducked and swayed with every move their daughter made, as if they were riding a very tense roller-coaster. Lynn was the most vocal of the two, until Ricky urged Aly to stick the landing and his exuberance ended the video with a joyous "Ahhhh!"
"It was such a thrill to watch our daughter compete at the Olympic games," Lynn and Ricky told Us Weekly after the event. "We are so proud and happy she advanced to finals and can't wait for team finals. All the girls did so great, we are proud of them all."
The video, uploaded yesterday, has so far attracted more than 58,000 views on YouTube.
Raisman will compete in the women's gymnastics team finals on Tuesday.
