Justin Bieber wrote song for new Selena Gomez and The Scene album

There have been times that Selena Gomez has expressed frustration at the attention her boyfriend Justin Bieber sometimes gets even when the topic is her musical career. This is likely to be one of those times.

Gomez and her band, The Scene, are in the studio recording a new album. That should be the story, right? Yes...and no. Because it's likely as big a deal, or bigger, that Bieber is writing at least one song for the record, though it's not confirmed he'll be performing on the album. The information about this comes from will.i.am of the Black Eye Peas, who told media, it's unclear who he said it to first, that he's heard the tune and it's a good one. Bieber played it for him: “He was like, ‘Yeah, I wrote it for Selena. It’s great,' will.i.am said. "And it was really awesome. It was really, really dope.” Most of us, were we making a record, would welcome the additional sales that would result from his participation, and his songwriting abilities ('Never Say Never', 'Baby,' 'Boyfriend' etc.) so maybe Gomez is all right with the attention Bieber's getting for being part of her record.
