Des Moines - These are the faces of the next generation of technology leaders. They are young, fresh, socially savvy and... Midwestern?
TEDxDesMoines was a locally produced version of the TED seminars. TED stands for technology, entertainment and design. TED Talks often feature speakers discussing their field of expertise, and videos of TED Talks often go viral online.
The goal of the conference is to talk about ideas worth spreading, and the mission was accomplished in Des Moines, Iowa. If you missed this year's conference, you missed something special
In between guests, Michael C Hall entertained the audience. Each speaker was limited to 18 minutes or less for their talk, and the comedic breaks Michael provided were hilarious.

Because this is how we roll in the Midwest. His speech on starting with change in your neighborhood and city made perfect sense to Iowan's. As farm country, we are known for rolling up our sleeves and getting to work.
