With the likes of Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Mel Gibson and other major male Hollywood celebs, all smiling and happy in their uniforms, the Ukrainians are trying to make their people more enthusiastic about their police force.
The Ukrainian Komsomolskaya Pravda Daily
reports that Ukraine is about to introduce a law reforming its law enforcement bodies. Along with this new law, there will also be new uniforms.
So, the manufacturer thought it might help to have some familiar faces in their ads to make them, well, a bit more popular. So far, Ukrainians are not impressed with the police's new appearance, so they made the ads, popping a few famous heads on to the various uniforms.
The unofficial ads are apparently going viral online, and it does certainly cause a chuckle.
The ads are very basically made with no fancy effects. All they have is a whole load of stars dressed in the new Ukrainian police uniform.
Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and Bruce Willis also feature, but they also haven't heard about it, and won't be getting a cent for their appearance.
says that this isn't the first time Ukrainians have used famous people in their advertising. Apparently a while back, a Ukrainian photo lab ad featured U.S. President Barack Obama.
You have to admit, there is something about a man in uniform...
