Los Angeles - Ever heard of the STEVEE's? Chances are no, but in the future this award gala may pick up some steam. So, the next time you click on something, there may be an app for it, and an award.
As social media takes over the landscape more and more, why not have an awards to go alone with concept? Not only that, it took a social media expert to get the ball rolling. The Social TV Awards and Social TV Summit were created by digital and
social media expert Andy Batkin. He is recognized as one of the founders of the interactive industry.
They recently gathered in Los Angeles at the Bel-Air Country Club and had a party plus handed out the following awards. One more note, however, is this bit of news that emerged from the event. The host and emcee was supposed to be Billy Bush, but Kevin Fraiser from "The Insider" had to step in because Bush was injured in a bicycle accident.
One award had a unique unique angle, considering this is social. The category of Best Mobile Phone, iPad or Tablet Social TV Application asked audience members were asked to cast their vote in real time using IBT Realtime technology. Voters interacted with the new,
