When a house party was broken up by police in Jacksonville, Florida Saturday night, hundreds of teens headed to a nearby Walmart to wreak havoc.
The
Miami Herald reports hundreds of teens stormed into the mega-store and went on a rampage.
RT.com says about 300 young people were involved, creating a veritable flashmob and it was all caught on video. As they ran through the store throwing produce, stole snacks and sodas, security staff backed off and called 911.
Police say no one was hurt in the melee but one 20 year old reports he was shot in the leg outside the store. Surprisingly damage to the store was minimal but police are using surveillance video and the video posted on YouTube to try to identify some of those involved.
Walmart's Dianna Gee tells the
Florida Times-Union,"The actions of these teenagers was deplorable and put at risk the safety of innocent bystanders, staff and customers," "We are committed to assisting law enforcement in any way we can to identify the people responsible for the commotion, including acts of vandalism and thefts at the store."
