According to BBC News at least seven individuals were killed by a bomb, on a bus that was taking Israeli holiday makers to the eastern Bulgarian city of Burgas, Israeli officers have reported.
Another 30 people were injured when the bus exploded at Burgas airport, by the Black Sea. Israeli television were told by witnesses, that someone boarded the bus and a large explosion followed immediately afterwards.
Israeli Prime Minister, Bengamin Netanyahu blamed Iran for the explosion.
There were six bodies found at the scene, one seriously injured, died at hospital and two others, are in intensive care. There are thirty others receiving treatment.
Although Bulgarian officials could not confirm if the blast was due to terrorist activity. The bus had just left Burgas Airport heading to a hotel when the bomb went off. Two pregnant women and an eleven year old Israeli girl were among the injured.
Msnbc reports that, television pictures showed smoke billowing from the parking lot, at the local airport. There were also several buses and cars on fire near the shell of the exploded vehicle.
The Israeli tourists had landed at 4.45 p.m shortly after, the bomb went off. There is an ongoing investigation, but Bulgarian police do not know what has caused the explosion yet.
This explosion coincides with the 18th anniversary of the bombing of a Jewish community center in Argentina, that killed 85 individuals.
Officials had previously warned, that this popular Israeli tourist spot, in Bulgaria, could be a potential terrorist threat by Islamist militants who could infiltrate via nearby Turkey.
The New York Times reports that, black smoke billowed from the area, leaving the bus like a black skeleton. Several buses close by, were scorched and the airport had to close temporarily.
Witnesses watched as people escaped on fire and many experienced serious burns. President Obama said that he firmly condemned today's terror attack on Israelis, in Bulgaria.
