Rumors are circulating on the web that there will be a "Toy Story 4" movie. The concept of a fourth installment of the popular movies first emerged last year, then the fanfare died off, however the rumors have resurfaced.
According to the Telegraph, unconfirmed Internet rumors say that "Finding Nemo 2" and possibly "Toy Story 4" are in development by Pixar/Disney.
The rumors of a fourth installment of the popular "Toys" first emerged last year after Tom Hanks ("Woody") made a brief comment during an interview with BBC News.
"I think there will be, yeah," Hanks had said during the June 2011 interview, "I think they are working on it [Toy Story 4] now."
Finding Nemo 2 seems pretty plausible since it's a sequel and other details are emerging.
That being said, Pixar has reportedly not confirmed either "Nemo" or "Toy Story" as the company does not comment on development.
"Toy Story 4", might be a little more far-fetched, as the plot of "Toy Story 3" was the main character grew up and presumably provided closure to the story of the Toys.
In the third movie, Andy headed off to college and gave his toys to a neighborhood girl named Bonnie. Yet, as the movie came to an end, for many viewers it appeared highly possible Pixar writers left the door open for more potential Toy adventure, this time from Bonnie's house.
Last year, some were disheartened by the thought of another return of the "Toys", after a nice wrap up to Andy's childhood adventures with his beloved toys. Yet in 2010 sales for "Toy Story 3" soared, even after a decade between sequels, and a fourth installment could do well at the box office.
Will Pixar and Disney go for it? Currently, everyone's seemingly mum on the issue.
Would you be interested in seeing more "Toy" adventures in a fourth installment, or should Pixar and Disney let it go since Andy grew up?
