Members of the Westboro Baptist Church are trying to rally members around a planned protest outside the funeral of Sage Stallone.
The actor, and son of Sylvester Stallone was found dead at his home last Friday as Digital Journal reported earlier. The Los Angeles coroner is still conducting tests on the 36 year old, to determine the cause of death.
A funeral is scheduled for this Saturday after a closed casket service at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Brentwood, California according to celebrity-gossip.net. But members of the Christian group are planning to set up pickets according to the Huffington Post.
The Church, headed up by Fred Phelps and his family, is infamous for its anti-gay protests outside military funerals and the funerals of celebrities and others, including Matthew Shepard who was beaten to death by two men because of his homosexuality in 1998.
Margie Phelps sent out a string of tweets this week urging supporters of the church to picket Stallone's funeral.

In a statement to TMZ, Sylvester Stallone is calling for an end to “the speculation and questionable reporting” around his son's death and says "When a parent loses a child there is no greater pain. Therefore I am imploring people to respect my talented son's memory and feel compassion for his loving mother, Sasha." "This agonizing loss will be felt for the rest of our lives. Sage was our first child and the center of our universe and I am humbly begging for all to have my son's memory and soul left in peace."
