There were rumors in the past that former WWE star Dave Bautista was going into MMA and now he has finally booked his first mixed-martial arts fight.
Dave Bautista, who was known as Batisita in the WWE, is apparently going to make his profesional fighting debut on October 6.
According to
MMA Junkie, the 43-year-old will go toe-to-toe with New York based heavyweight Rashid Evans, who is 1-2 as an amateur. The event will be held at a CES MMA event in Providence, Rhode Island.
According to
TMZ, Bautista has been training for years now and he came very close to making his MMA debut with the Strikeforce in 2010, but that deal ended up falling apart.
The New York Post
reports that Rashid Evans and not "the Rashad Evans", the former UFC light heavyweight champion.
Bautista's fight will be televised but as of now it is not exactly clear who will be broadcasting the fight.
