An intense car crash in Dudley, UK, was captured on surveillance footage recently, showing how a man survived after being ejected from the vehicle through the sunroof, landing on a resident's lawn.
As the video
shows, the passenger flew through the sunroof when the car tipped over, and he walked away unscathed: he pulled down his shirt, stumbled a bit but looked otherwise OK.
The crash was caught on the home-security cameras outside the home of pensioner Howard Hamilton, according to the
Telegraph. "It was like something out of a police action film. Somebody could have easily been killed if they had walking by," Hamilton said.
The car was a silver Peugeot 406, police
say, and the female driver was arrested on suspicion of drink driving but was later released without charge.
The area is familiar with similar crashes. Residents in the street have said "there have been at least eight accidents in the past twelve years, causing damage to their homes and cars," the Mirror
notes.
