The 10 American Idol
eleventh season finalists led by season winner Philip Philips and runner-up Jessica Sanchez will join their fellow contestants (Top 10) in a nationwide concert tour which kicks off July 6 at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan..
The 16-year old Sanchez has been signed to Interscope Records and has already started working on her upcoming album while Philips says his album will be out in November or December.
Sanchez described her album as a mixture of urban and R&B selections.
“What I did on the show was more competition mode. It was to show my vocals – ‘let’s sing some Celine Dion and Mariah Carey.’ Now it’s like, ‘I’m Jessica Sanchez and I have to do me,’” Jessica said
. “It’s more of the urban, Rihanna kind of feel and the R&B kind of stuff. A little bit of pop. It’s just a big mixture of stuff, so it’s exciting.”
Sanchez has recently performed at the opening of the NBA finals, featuring the Miami Heat and Oklahoma Thunder.
In Las Vegas, she graced the Pacquiao-Bradley fight with her rendition of the National Anthem before some 15,000 live audience at the MGM Grand Garden Arena and the millions of boxing fans from around the world watching the telecast from the US.

The 21-year-old singer from Leesburg, Georgia has been battling a kidney ailment since before the American Idol singing competition concluded.
Philips was discharged from a hospital
in California early last month after a successful kidney surgery.
