Police have discovered what appears to be a human head in Montreal's Angrignon Park. Tests are needed to confirm if the head is that of Chinese student Lin Jun whom Luka Magnotta has been charged with murdering.
Police are waiting for the results of analytical tests to determine if the remains found in the Montreal Park are part of the missing body parts of murdered and dismembered Chinese student Lin Jun.
Sky News reported that the only part of the dismembered student still missing was his head.
According to the Globe and Mail police acting on information from unidentified sources found what appeared to a human head in a pond in Angrignon Park. Police spokeswoman Anie Lemieux said "We have to wait for analysis over the next days, the next week, to confirm whether it is a body part and whether it's related to ... the Magnotta case."
Investigators say Lin and Magnotta were in a relationship. Magnotta is in police custody after being extradited from Germany. He is accused of murdering and dismembering the student. A video revealed the victim was stabbed to death with an ice-pick before Magnotta indulged in necrophilia with the dismembered corpse.
