Saskatoon
-
The Saskatoon skies remained menacing for most of the day, but that did not stop thousands of residents from gathering at the Diefenbaker Park to celebrate Canada Day.
Hosted by the Optimist Club of
Saskatoon, the Canada Day celebrations were held at the
Diefenbaker Park, where thousands of residents enjoyed themselves all day long, despite grey skies and the occasional downpour. For this special Day, the Diefenbaker Park became a giant community picnic, a music fest, a beer garden, a fun park for the whole family with, of course, many food stands and souvenir shops.

Lest we forget that Vikings once visited this country. From left to right: Shayla, Jill, Amber and Gord.

In a recent poll, a majority of Canadians mentioned a preference for... beer. Kathy, a volunteer for Canada Day, is happy to oblige.
