Five-year-old Sadie Cohen decided to give her younger sister Eva, 3, a "free" haircut. Her parents were none too pleased with the results, but then dad WNPR reporter Jeff Cohen
decided to interview his daughters.
Dad asked the girls why they cut Eva's hair.
"It was almost all the way down to her tush. And if she grew it any longer, when she wiped her butt, her hair would like, go, into the toilet. And it would be gross," Sadie replied.
Eva then chimed in with, "I did not like when it was almost down to my butt. It was really itching my…hips."
The girls further described the incident in colorful and great detail.
"It was so, so hard to cut, lalala [snip, snip]," the elder sister said, as she described her technique.
After the DIY haircut, the girls said Eva went down to show her mother, saying, "I got my haircut mommy, isn't it nice? And mama looked at it and said [gasp], Eva what were you thinking!"
Eva said, "I was crying, and told her Sadie cut my hair."
Sadie pipes in with, "And I told her not to."
Seemingly, both girls thought hiding the hair under the radiator would solve all the problems.
Dad asked Eva if she wanted her hair cut, and she said "no", but then said she did, but by a "haircutter".
When Sadie saw the results of her craft, she knew it wasn't good, "uh oh this is bad, bad, bad, bad," but didn't know her parents would "scream like that."
The interview lasts about 2-minutes and is a priceless recording.
