'American Idol' runner-up Jessica Sanchez has started recording her first album under Interscope Records, a recording company based in Sta.Monica, California and member of the Universal Music Group.
In her Twitter post Wednesday, Sanchez said she was at the studio with season 11 winner Philip Philips. "At the stuuuuudio recording some amazing tracks for the upcoming album" she tweeted.
Even before the announcement of season 11 winner, record label executive Tommy Mottola, has already talked about Sanchez recording career.
Mottola is known for charting the musical career of today's most popular singers including Celine Dion, Destiny's Child, Shakira, Gloria Estefan, the Dixie Chicks, Barbra Streisand, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, among others.
Mottola, who is the ex-husband of Mariah Carey, is married to Mexican singer Thalia, who has supported Sanchez during the finals of American Idol season 11.
The 16-year-old singing sensation from Chula Vista, is due to embark on a nationwide concert tour along with the top 10 winners of American Idol season 11. The concert tour kicks off July 6 in Detroit.
Early this month, Sanchez performed at the opening of the NBA finals featuring Miami Heat and Oklahoma Thunder.
In Las Vegas, she graced the Pacquiao-Bradley fight with her rendition of the National Anthem before some 15,000 live audience at the MGM Grand Garden Arena and the millions of boxing fans from around the world watching the telecast from the US.

Sanchez is also in the final stage of negotiations to join the US top-rated musical comedy-drama television series Glee which is now on its fourth season.
If successful, Sanchez will be joining Rachel, Finn, Mr. Schu and the rest of the "Glee" cast, according to MTV.com
