On Monday, Walmart Canada announced in a press release
that it is seeking 4,000 new associates this year ranging from sales associates to managers to field operators in its stores across the country. With 900 new associates already hired the company’s goal is to have a workforce of 94,000 by Jan. 31, 2013.
To meet the company’s growth in structure, the company is hiring new associates to accommodate its 73 projects, including its new stores and remodelling, expansion or relocations of existing stores. In June 2011, Walmart purchased the leasehold rights from most of the 39 Zellers stores and they will reopen as part of the Walmart brand.

“We are a company that works with communities to improve the world we live in, where diversity is expected and inclusion the norm. Whether you are looking for a career in retail or a part time job, we want to hear from you."
Furthermore, pharmacies inside of Walmart Canada are also in the middle of a hiring blitz. Eric Muir, senior vice president of Health and Wellness of Walmart Canada, noted that the company has already hired many pharmacy associates and is seeking to fill additional positions in that department.
