Robert Pattinson's career seems to be in a little bit of trouble as his post-Twilight film ends up flopping at the box office.
Pattinson is trying to move on from the successful Twilight franchise and become a leading man in Hollywood.
According to Daily Mail, Pattinson's plan seemed like it wasn't really going his way. The Beekman Theatre in the Upper East Side of Manhattan was almost completely empty for the screening of Bel Ami. The film stars Pattinson as a journalist who works his way up the social ladder by sleeping his way to the top.
According to Hollywood Life, Bel Ami also flopped in the UK but did terribly in America. The movie only took in just around $72,000, which is very low and it seems that Hollywood is starting to see that Pattinson is not really bankable. Reports are also circulating that Pattinson is being called RIP-Patz instead of R-Patz, which is what he is commonly called.
According to Entertainment Wise, Pattinson's other film 'Cosmopolis' has also flopped in America. However a source did say that Breaking Dawn Part 2 will go on and be a huge hit but outside of the Twilight Saga, Pattinson is just not doing well.
The source went onto say that Pattinson needs to emulate Daniel Radcliffe or he risks being out of the industry by the time he turns 30.
