A new supermarket on the German-Danish border offered as part of its opening promotion campaign $270 worth of free groceries to the first 100 shoppers who would go shopping completely nude.

Hypervocal reports that the supermarket owner Niles Sterndorff, was shocked to find that about 250 people turned up ready go nude for an opportunity to stock up on foodstuffs and liquor. According to MSN Now, Sterndorff said: "I never thought 100 people would come. I thought maybe more like 10."
Police Oracle reports that police, photographers and the manager watched in bemusement as the the naked customers wandered the aisles casually with their shopping lists and helped themselves to provisions.
According to The Huffington Post, to keep the crowd that turned up under control, they were ushered into the store in groups of 20.
The YouTube video shows the shoppers waiting in the lot before they strip. Then they go inside the store completely nude to load up on wine, soda and food, with photographers and cameras following them closely.
Gawker reports that most of the shoppers were Danish who are known for making regular trips to Germany to stock on cheap alcohol. According to Gawker, that explains why the liquor section got special attention during the unusual promotion.
Hypervocal reports that Sterndorff was, however, delighted at the success of his promotion effort.
