article imageVideo: Watch wild-eyed DUI suspect wonder 'what is drugs?'

Los Angeles - A L.A. man police suspect was high on heroin became an Internet star after footage showing his arrest was posted online. The man, wild-eyed and confused looking after a high speed chase, responded to a reporter's question, wondering, "What is drugs?"
According to The Huffington Post, police arrested Vardan Aslanyan, 29, last week after he crashed a Mercedes into an SUV in north Hollywood.
Laist reports that Aslanyan, driving a black Mercedes-Benz car, hit a total of three cars and injured five people, including a three-year-old boy. The chase began at around 7:45 a.m. in Burbank when an off-duty officer called him in for reckless driving. But he led the police on a chase on the 5, 118, 170 and 101 freeway hitting speeds as high as 120 mph.
A live broadcast of Aslanyan's arrest after the epic chase showed him being handcuffed by officers with reporters on the scene asking him questions.
A Fox News reporter asked him why he led he police on a chase. Aslanyan said he wanted to "make history." He announced to reporters as police handcuffed him: "I am Vardan Aslanyan and I got swag." He explained why he led the police on a chase: "Because I got swag. I wanted to make it look good."
According to Laist, with eyes wide, he assured KFI radio reporter, "I would never ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever disrespect law enforcement when they chase me, because I would not run. Running is not a good thing."
When Fox News reporter asked him if he had taken any drugs, he asked sweetly, innocently, his eyes round and wide, "What is drugs?"
According to Ninemsn, when officers took him into custody, he reportedly told the officers he was "God's child" and that he was an "angel." He told KTLA reporter who asked about the child injured in the crash, "I apologize, I apologize from the bottom of my heart. I would never disrespect no one’s child.”
What is it the Devil that made Aslanyan do it? He told KTLA: "God took over."
Police arrested him on charges of DUI, felony evading and possession of a controlled substance.
