Golden Dawn member accused of raping 15-year-old Albanian girl

A registered member of Greece's Golden Dawn party has been charged with the rape of a 15-year-old Albanian girl. The victim's family allege they have received threats by individuals claiming to represent Golden Dawn.
A 45-year-old married father of three has been charged with raping a minor. The municipal worker, who is a registered member of the far-right Golden Dawn, has been released on bail of €30,000, and denies the charges.
The Albanian girl, whose family settled in the Attica area 20-years ago, claims she was attacked by the Greek man whilst working as a clerk in a small company at the man's invitation and with the consent of her family. Athens News reported the girl's family told police "the 45-year-old led the girl to a secluded location where he raped her. According to the victim, he then offered her 100 euros to keep her quiet as well as agree to continue having sexual relations with him".
The girl's family became aware of her allegations when the girl became pregnant and had an abortion. The arrested man however says he was having a consensual sexual relationship with the girl, but originally claimed the girl had sex with one of his sons.
According to Gr.Reporter "the man does not deny having had contact with the girl. Despite his apparent hostility towards the immigrants in his country, he is adamant that the case is not about a rape."
To Vima contacted the girl's family who allege members of Golden Dawn threatened them unless the girl dropped the charges.
