Jessica Sanchez going solo in 5-city Philippine concert tour

American Idol runner-up Jessica Sanchez is going solo in a 5-city concert tour in the Philippines to be held in October right after a group show featuring the 10 finalists of the eleventh season of American Idol on September 21.

According to Inquirer.net, the group show of American Idol finalists will take place at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City while Sanchez's solo act will be held in the cities of Manila, Cebu, Davao, Baguio and Bataan, her mother's hometown. Last month, a local promoter said American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez will be doing a concert in Manila later in November, possibly with Sanchez doing the front act. Jun Lorenz Mamangon, who represents the promotions company that made possible the show of Justin Bieber last year, said Lopez will be joined by Enrique Iglesias but the half-Filipino singer, who is the son of famous singer Julio Iglesias, is not yet sure if he can join the concert. Sanchez is currently rehearsing for a nationwide concert with the top 10 finalist of the recently concluded eleventh series of American Idol. The concert series kicks off in Detroit on July 6.
