The Journal News, the incident happened on Sat.
just before 3:30 p.m. The man allegedly stole an 18-pack of Budweiser from the Walmart located at the Cortlandt Town Center. When stopped by security, the man allegedly pulled out a knife and threatened the guard.
Then he reportedly fled into the parking lot where New York State,
Troop 'K' Police quickly apprehended the man.
There were no media reports noting any injuries occurring.
A local man, Christopher Acebal, 46, was charged with first-degree armed robbery, a class B violent felony, and remanded to Westchester County Jail, reported the
Cortlandt Daily Voice. No bail was granted.
Mid-Hudson News reported additional charges may be made.
Acebal was due back in Cortlandt Town Court this morning.
