In the year 3991, the world will end, according to a man who is addicted to playing a game called Civilization II. For the last decade Lycerius has been hooked on creating a new world, using the computer game.
Sky News reports, Lycerius has posted information about his gaming adventures on the strategic game Civilization II. Lycerius plays the game every day and the game has players who control the worlds nation through history. The game starts at the dawn of civilization and is supposed to end in 2020, but Lycerius has continued his virtual world until 3991.
The only three remaining nations have been at war for 1,700 years and there have been endless nuclear wars. The ice caps have melted resulting in huge swathes. The world is uninhabitable and a complete nightmare of suffering and devastation.
Almost 90% of the world's population has died from nuclear annihilation or famine due to global warming on a massive scale. There is hardly any land to farm. There are scores of different tribes that start the game, each one striving for world domination. There are just three superpowers left in the simulation. The three superpowers are: The Celts - controlled by Lycerius, the Vikings and the Americans.
Civilization is turn based simulation game and requires a high degree of logic. A screengrab was posted by the gamer demonstrating how the world has been carved-up. He said, "Between the three of us, we have conquered all the other nations that have ever existed and assimilated them into our respective empires,"
